Improve Shielding Effectiveness by Near Field Scanning

Shielding plays a main role in the effort to control electromagnetic interference of an electronic device. For low frequency devices, shielding the leakage of magnetic field could be a challenge as compared to that of the higher frequency. Shielding is done by the metallic enclosure for the DUT using various material likes like stainless steel, nickel and Aluminum. However, there could still be some leakages through cables and openings.

This webinar discusses about EMScanner also known as near field scanner which scans the DUT at broad frequency range from 150KHz to 8GHz with and without shielding and measure the distortion levels. It also allows to compare and determine the difference in magnetic leakage levels in the DUT.
